Having recently moved into our new house we started to use the Villager wood burner which also contains a back boiler. Not long after starting the fire we noticed a lot of banging noises with the pipes which I don't think is a problem in itself.

Dec 06, 2005 · Beeno. Our boat has a Villager Heron stove on, which although it has a back boiler inside, it is not connected. (There's nothing on the baot that it could run). Some people on the forum suggested running in this manner would be bad news, but as that's clearly how the last owner used it, we have done the same.

Ive got a Hunter herald stove bought from England. The French don't seem keen on living room log burners with back boilers, they prefer inserts with hot air distribution.
